Too Busy For Crypto

Howdy! Too Busy For Crypto is a podcast for fans of Cryptocurrency who want to learn and articulate ideas, but who don’t have time to be watching hours of Youtube videos, where most of the best Crypto education currently exists. People also don’t have time to sort through a mountain of indiscriminate shilling of trash in order to find useful content. Please listen to my first four episodes on Risks, Warnings and Disclaimers, if you have not already. Those episodes on Negatives are meant to anchor my Crypto-Positive content. ...If you listen, what will you learn? You will learn about finance, markets, fake crypto vs real crypto, the Ethereum network, and HEX. I am a fan of freedom and financial literacy. This podcast is a hobby where I share my passion about these topics with those of you who are interested in learning more or in better articulating what you know. Have a great day!

In previous episodes, I have discussed generalities about crypto, such as risks, terminology, and perspective. This episode I will offer narrative story about how Bubba Uses Defi. In this story, Bubba will start with dollars, then take a journey from fake crypto to real crypto on the Ethereum Network where Bubba acquires HEX and stakes it.
Part 1 covers the "on-ramping" process of going from Dollars at a bank, to buying stablecoins on a centralized exchange, to moving those stablecoins from the exchange to a personal wallet. Part 2 covers using a decentralized exchange to trade stablecoins for HEX, then staking the HEX.
My intent is to offer tangible details that allow any person to better understand and articulate one avenue to turn Dollars into Crypto with minimized reliance on centralized middlemen. This story is not a comprehensive description, and may include errors or inconsistencies. This story is not to encourage you to participate. If you are a no-coiner who has never participated in crypto, you will become aware of costs and technical nuances that no-coiners don’t know to research ahead of time. Historically, most people in crypto have learned by experience and lost money as part of the learning process.
Please listen to my first four episodes on risk, downsides, and disclaimers, if you have not already. Those first episodes on Crypto-Negatives are meant to anchor my more Crypto-Positive content. I consider this episode Crypto-Postive.

This episode, I will discuss “What is Crypto? The Basics, The Thesis, The Ethos”. I discuss basic terms and jargon. I discuss flaws in our financial system that cryptocurrency attempts to address. I do not discuss why cryptocurrency is the the best performing asset class in history. Instead, I try to explain Crypto so that spectators gain better understanding of what participants are doing, and so participants can better articulate what they are doing.
All of this is my opinion. If you do not agree that cryptocurrency has evolved from Bitcoin to Ethereum to HEX, you are welcome to your opinion. However, I hope you find this episode useful and interesting, whether or not you agree.

This is Part 4 in my series of "Risks, Warnings, and Disclaimers". Part 4 consists warnings about risks and downsides regarding 9 specific aspects of the HEX cryptocurrency system. I believe HEX is currently the highest achievement in cryptocurrency software. No matter how good any one thinks something is to use, there are always tradeoffs in the use of any thing. I offer this episode to educate people who are unfamiliar with the tradeoffs in cryptocurrency generally and HEX specifically, because one person's "downside risk" is another person's "beneficial feature". You may choose for yourself.
This series of episodes discusses many negatives and caveats regarding crypto that need to be said up front because most people have no idea what crypto is, and they are 99% correct to assume that crypto is bad, because 99% of the crypto world is bad. However, the good 1% of crypto makes crypto the best performing asset class in history, so it is worth discussing.

This is Part 3 in my series of "Risks, Warnings, and Disclaimers". Part 3 is me reading the website page HEX.COM/Disclaimer. I read this because it is an informative Disclaimer, and it is about my favorite software, HEX. Some people can't find this page, but you can type it in or go to HEX.COM and scroll down to the very bottom for the link. Some people don't like to read or want to save time, so I have put this in audio form for them.
The HEX Founder Richard Heart last amended this Disclaimer on December 2, 2019, around HEX launch. This Disclaimer is unique in the Crypto World because it explains in plain words the limitations, downsides, and basic functionality of HEX specifically and cryptocurrency generally. This also explains how HEX is not a security, because there is no common enterprise and no profit solely from the work of others. Each user can only benefit himself. Cryptocurrency is software. Software is computer code. Anyone can run this code, if one so chooses.
I have no involvement with the HEX Founder Richard Heart, or with the creation of HEX. I read these words aloud out of my own desire to educate others about the best cryptocurrency.

This is Part 2 in my series of "Risks, Warnings, and Disclaimers". Part 2 focuses on Decentralized Finance. I wish to quickly convey fundamental broad risks that all spectators and participants of Decentralized Finance should be able to communicate.
